#110 Come Fly With Me

Viv is hosting today's challenge and the theme is 'Come Fly With Me'. She would like to see either birds or something bird related, ie birdcages/houses, as the MAIN focal point of your project.  Please do not enter if there is just the tiniest bird at the edge of your project, birds or birdcages are the focus of this challenge, and butterflies and fairies don't count!

We are sponsored by

DI'S DIGISTAMPS
With a $12 gift voucher

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like-minded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

I hope you like my little Birdie and his Home!

  Yvonne
Homemade stamped base paper and a bird perched on his branch.

Josephine
I used a stamp from Crafty Individuals which I split into four. Images are coloured with Promarkers and background is embossed and shaded with Pan Pastels.

Vania

Julie

My Owl and branch were cut on my Cameo and the background was done using Adirondack inks and ink dusters.

Marie

I used a digital image from Nicecrane Designs printed onto watercolor paper. GA added to birds for depth and to add a little shine. Frame cut with Cameo and the resin flower I made myself.

Cindy

A very simple little tag from me, the main image is creating by running the distressed background through a cuttlebug folder and then adding some more ink to bring out the detail.
A clean and simple card utilising some background paper I found in my stash, some ribbon and a stamp from creative expressions.
I have used the same fabulous Hobby Art stamp set that we have as one of our prizes for my card.

Lin
I created a birdcage from a Tim Holtz die. See my blog for details

The winners have until 2nd March to claim their prize, after which time I am afraid the prize(s) will be forfeit. As we choose our winners, rather than having a random number thingy to pick them it's too difficult and time consuming to go back again and go through the entries to pick out new winners. Neither, sadly do we have time to chase the winners up.

Carole
For my challenge, I have used an image from our sponsor - The Stamping Boutique - called 'AJ the race car driver'. Had the backing card in mind before I started - so matched my Promarkers to that!!

Fiona

For my card I have used a Pollycraft digi called "Ronnie Relaxing" which I have coloured with my ProMarkers. My papers are all from my scrap box and I have used a large polka dot embossing folder for the border.

Josephine
I've used an image from our sponsor Stamping Boutique called AJ the Race Car Driver. I coloured the image with Promarkers and shaded the background with Pan Pastels. Papers are from Paper Pizazz, and I made the chequered flag.

Julie
I made my card by merging digital stamps from Make it Crafty and Speesh Stamps, then colouring with Copics and Pro Markers.

Feebsy
I created this card with  stamps from Indigo Blu and Kanban the greeting was created on my computer using a font from DaFont.

Lin
I have used 'Noah's Ark' from our Sponsor The Stamping Boutique, for a little boy called Noah!

Cindy

In case you're not quite sure (!) this is a hard glasses case which I decorated for a friend at work using stamps, digis and papers.

I've made a slider/spinner money wallet (my first go at a moving part!).  The alphabet stamps are Studio G and the football is from Hobbycraft.

I used a lovely Lili of the Valley die cut for my card and mounted it over some handmade Bargello background.

I have used the image "Noah's Ark" from The Stamping Boutique. The white cardstock is Recollections and the image is coloured with Crayola Pencils. All the rest of the paper is CTMH. The ribbon is Offray and the pin is from my stash.
