#249 Black and White

Glenda is hosting today's challenge, Black and White.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece or home decor, as long as it meets the theme.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Glenda

A simple card with a somewhat stark look. I used a Tiddly Ink digital stamp, some Stampin Up designer paper and a punched layered flower. Join in and enjoy the challenge!

Angela

This is a quick card, using up some black and white patterned papers from my stash with the addition of some clear gems and Washi tape.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with, Angela xXx

Josephine

I've used a stamp cube from Stampers Anonymous, a Sizzix Susan's Garden die and Versafine Clair ink for this card. Sometimes it's good to remember I've got a drawer full of mounted stamps too!

Mary

I have amalgamated three digis from Beccy Muir and added a little touch from a black Promarker pen. The design was then matted onto black mirri.

Maike

I challenged myself to create a black and white Christmas card and this is the result ;o) The snow-cats are a stamp from Mama Elephant and the wonderfully bug sentiment is by My Favorite Things.

Have a fantastic week and happy crafting ;o)

Judy

When I started to think about this black and white challenge right away a rubber stamp in my collection called European Travel by Rubbernecker Stamps came to mind. I stamped the background stamp in black and used two Tim Holtz die cuts, white butterfly and then added a sentiment.

Have a great week crafting.

Margaret

Can't get more clean and simple than this! Black DP and greeting by Kaisercraft and a scrap of watercolour paper left over from a from a Wildflower die cut by Tim Holtz. Layered it all together and .. Voila!!

Jo

Lots of lovely layers but still looking fairly CAS, I used only paper, card and die cuts finished with a faux gem!

Looking forward to seeing your black & white creations. Have fun!!

Kimx

Black and White is definitely a favourite of mine, so the hard part was picking just one card to share with you. This was made using a fabulous Stampendous Stamp and Black Distress Ink.

Marlene

For my Card I used an Inkylicious Stamp, Old Papermania papers Hunkidory Dies and added a few pearls

Jackie

My challenge to myself this year was to use stash/equipment I already have and my card was made using an embossing folder and dies not used for ages, and some offcuts from my scraps box. Result!

Lin

My papers are from Bearly Mine and my image is from D'arcy's Diaries. Please see my blog for more details

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

#248 Anything Goes

Welcome back and Happy New Year from all of us to all of you. We hope that 2020 will be a happy, healthy and prosperous year for you all.

We thought we would start things off with a nice easy challenge, Anything Goes. This is your chance to pop all those things in that you might have made over the Christmas period and had nowhere to post, although we would obviously love not to have too many Christmas cards as it's now behind us for another year.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, but just for this first challenge the theme is Anything Goes.

As it's the start of the year we are offering a one off prize for our winner, which I will be choosing as I came out of the hat to pick the winner and Top 5 for this first challenge of 2020, offered up by the lovely Kim.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Lin

I've used some stamps from Studiolight, and backing papers from Polkadoodles, details on my blog

Agnieszka chanya13:

Hello, I made an exploding box for a 1st Birthday. I hope you like it.

Angela

I've had fun with a Woodware stamp for this project. Details can be found on my blog.

Happy crafting, Angela xXx

Mary

I have used Tattered Lace's Just for you swirl die along with dies from their Indian summer decoupage set and the accompanying Autumn fragrance charisma download matting and layering the design onto pale blue pearlescent card, pink card and finally white card.

Josephine

Instead of a flat card, I made a pop up box as a new home greeting. The base die is from Spellbinders, the flowers from a variety of manufacturers and the papers are from a Joanna Sheen box kit.

Judy

For this challenge I created this small canvas in remembrance of my dad. He loved the old song called "Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue. I used a couple of musical dies, old sheet music, chipboard guitar and notes, and some small metal embellishments.

Kimx

I thought that an easel card for a Wedding would work well for this challenge. I only wish that they were easier to take photographs of lol.

Margaret

For this Challenge I decided to share some Amigurumi dolls I have created recently. These were made using 4ply acrylic yarn, a 2mm crochet hook and free patterns found on the net. You can find more details on my blog. Happy New Year and happy crafting everyone!!

Maike

I really need to fill up my Christmas cards stash again so I thought I would for this challenge. The image I used it from Purple Onion Designs and I love how the ink blended background really makes it shine! Happy crafting everyone ;o)

Marlene

I have made this card with a Mo Manning Image called Kisses for my Sweet coloured with Promarkers added some Flowers and Pearls

Glenda

A mini album to give to a special friend. For more info and pictures visit my blog 'Gilby's Corner'

Jo

This challenge I made a couple of cards for my Daughter's Memorydex, you can find more info on my blog Tales From The Craft Room

Jackie

My card was made for one of my book club "birthdays" and included dies and embossing folder I got free with a magazine. The beauty of this design is it can be adapted for men and women!

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!
