How to.... Link to your post

Nearly all card challenge blogs require you to link to your actual posting and not your whole blog. You can understand this as they may get 300+ entries a week and dont have time to trail round your entire blog looking for their challenge card! If you don't link to your actual card many blogs will disallow you from entering in their prize draw.
So how do you do it?

After you have published your post with your creation click on VIEW BLOG then click onto the actual POST TITLE (See pic)






Look in your browser at the top of the screen and you will see the web address (url) of the ACTUAL post you made. So for example June's crafty place, her web address will be http://junescraftyplace.blogspot.com/ but her actual post she made will be something like http://junescraftyplace.blogspot.com/2009/07/card-challenge.htmlAll you need to do now is click on the web address, highlight it and copy it (control and C). Nip over to the challenge blog and paste (Control and V) it either into their comments box or "Mister Linky" whichever the blog has.


Clear as mud? Have a practice here!

PS.... This takes a little bit of practice sometimes so don't worry if you get muddled up. Ask us anytime for help and don't worry if you get it wrong, you won't be the first and certainly not the last!

    hi thank you so much for this info,this is where i have been struggling a lot i created my blog a few months ago and find i will not join in challenges without a mr linky,thanks again jenniexx

    Thank for this info. This is quicker way of doing copy/paste. I paste it in microsoft word, a lot of work so I'll practise this in future. Many thanks again. Kathleen x

    Vicky that right hunny! All the blogs ask you is to link to your actual card which you've done right there.

    If you're trying to do the thing where people type my card is here and you click the word here then just above the sponsors on the sidebar is what you have to type so the "your link" is what you did here and "My Card" you type well my card or here or whatever you like x

    well I will have to try this. One day I thought I am going to join in this challenge. I made the card then I couldn't figure out how to inter it. I was so upset and have not tried since. So I will have to give this a try. Thank you so very much.

    Hi. Got your blog link from melscraftroom where she had said she had just got DT for your blog. On visiting your blog I came across your tutorials. I have to say thank you very much for these. I have just started cardmaking and had entered a couple of challenges but was only linking to my blog as I didn't know how to link directly to a post. I am going to try and link a post today, so here's hoping. Donna

    Help Help I am trying to do the easter challenge 65 and i am not able to link my blog. I get an error message every time I try that says The link you entered dose not contain a back link.
