I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people. I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

with these two gorgeous stamps:-

As a family business we're a friendly, helpful, bunch at Hobby Art.  All our stamps are designed by us and manufactured in Britain. Look at the gallery on my blog - jennymayes.com - for lots of card ideas using the Hobby Art range.  We're pleased to sponsor the Crafty Cardmakers Challenge and look forward to seeing the entries.
Good luck everyone.  Jenny and all. X

Here is how the team interpreted the challenge:-

Kylie
I have used some lovely Vintage looking DP that reminded me of love letters that would have been written by the couple during their courtship. The gorgeous charm was to signify the key to their hearts.

I've used an image and paper from my Crafty Image Emporium CD and teamed them with some die cuts.

Mynnette
I've used stamps by Rubber Stamp Tapestry and a sentiment by Inkadinkado to create this vintage love inspired card.

Carole
As my inspiration for this challenge , I took my grandparents wedding photo from 1941, and used Serif Craft Artist to create this A5 tent fold card.

Viv
I used a vintage Cabinet Card, die cut frame and papers from the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue pad.

Yvonne
I used an old image, a die cut frame and stamps to make this card.

  Betty Chan
I've used vintage paper and a die cut image to create this card

Doreen
I used a vintage photo (so cute) and Maja Design Paper (Vintage) for my card.

Marie
For my card this week I have used an image from Joanna Sheen with a wedding couple in a vintage style. They have been paired up with designer papers from Tim Holtz and Magnolia. Lots of different embellishments in the form of flowers, charm, metal corner that has been painted, pearl string and lots more. It was such a joy to make, now I only have to find a couple that is getting married...

Kimx
For my card I have used one of the stamps that Hobby Art have kindly donated as their prize, plus one of their butterflies and a sentiment. The flowers have been made using the stamped hearts from the panel. Just goes to show how versatile a stamp can be.

Tracey
I have used a vintage image from Memories of a Lifetime - Birds & Butterflies. My image is popped up with foam tape as are my rose buds. I cut strips of paper to resemble ribbon and chose colours that would make this card well suited to a man or woman.

Annette
For my Tiny Scrapbook Album ( 4cm tall by 6cm wide ) I have used a printed image from the Internet.  Embellishments ....Stamped mini  sentiment "Love", Key Charm, Pearl Heart.

Feebsy
For my card I used a vintage image from Kanban. I created the background paper with a mix of Distress Inks and Indigo Blu stamps

Rebecca
For my card I used some vintage themed papers from K&Co.  The "love" was stamped and then cut out and mounted on to mini foam squares.

Suze
I've used a colour scheme of kraft, white and gold for my card. The vintage wedding couple stamp and script stamp are from Stampin' Up and the sentiment is Kaisercraft. Some seam binding and pearls to finish.

Elaine
I used some vintage teddy bears decoupage.  Flowers are always used for love and I made them with flower soft.  The sentiment has been coloured with distress inks.

Jackie

My challenge to myself this time was to use stash up - so the backing paper was what was left after other projects, the image was part of a kanban or hunkydory kit and the ribbon was also from my "left over" bag and coloured to match with promarkers.  And I rarely use peeloffs any more so dug those out too...
