#92 Tri-Shutter Card With Stamped Image and a Twist

Before we get down to today's challenge I would like to say a huge thank you to some former members of our team. Kylie, and Mynnette have both left due to other commitments. We wish them both huge success in whatever else they do, and thank them for all the support they have showed us. I do particularly want to thank Mynnette who seems to be like a female terminator, never stopping to even take a breath!

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome the newest member of our team here, Cindy. I am sure Cindy would love if you would pop by her blog and admire her gorgeous creations!

This challenge will run for only one week as guess who made a mistake on the calendar!

Welcome to our latest challenge, hosted by Annette, who has chosen the theme of a  'Tri-shutter Card'

Annette would like to see a tri-shutter card with a stamped image, either digital or rubber, with an added twist of using the colours Blue, Yellow and Green.

Please ensure your card includes a stamped image, digi or rubber to qualify for a winner or Top 5 slot, whether you add the twist or not is up to you.

PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE RULES BEFORE ADDING YOUR CREATION AND CHECK IT MEETS THE CRITERIA AS LAID OUT ABOVE - ANY ENTRY NOT COMPLYING WILL UNFORTUNATELY BE DELETED

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art.
Long may it continue!

Anna's Collection Oriental and a Colorbox Chalk Queue.
As a family business we're a friendly, helpful, bunch at Hobby Art.  All our stamps are designed by us and manufactured in Britain. Look at the gallery on my blog - jennymayes.com - for lots of card ideas using the Hobby Art range.  We're pleased to sponsor the Crafty Cardmakers Challenge and look forward to seeing the entries.
Good luck everyone.  Jenny and all. X

Here is how the team interpreted the challenge:-

Annette
I am lucky to be hosting this weeks Challenge.
I used paper from Dovecraft "Back to Basic" and a No Name Stamp .
Coloured with Copic Makers.

Julie

When I started this project I didn't even know what a Tri-Shutter card was!
Now I am hooked, My image is Wee Stamps Sympathy Bugs, coloured with Flexmarkers

Like Julie, I had to find out what a Tri-Shutter card was before I could start! When faced with trying out an unusual fold, I tend to head for Photoshop Elements and put the basic card together there. I used some freebies from Debbie Moore's Venice collection which are available on her website, and added some die cuts.

First time for me as well with this card fold. And with that said if we can figure out how to make them, so can you. Give it a try! I have used an image from Teddy Bo and Bea and designer paper from NitWit collections. It's good to be able to have no limit access to dps every now and then. Because I decided to decorate both back and front on this card. Flowers are made with Prima flowers and some flowers from Panduro, some card candy as centres. The image is coloured with my Letraset family, mainly the spring and summer collection which I love!
Yes, I had to check out how to make these as well!! I have used a Clarity Image coloured with promarkers and some DCWV papers in green, blue and yellow.

Sharon
Ha ha - the card base was a challenge for me too! Yep I had to Google it!!
The image is the lovely Hydrangea clear stamp from Inkylicious which I have stamped with Aegean Blue and Tea Leaves ink pads, I brushed over the image with a damp brush to pull some colour into the design. I've used yellow pearlescent card for the base and blue linen card together with a green patterned paper from my stash in line with the added twist part of the challenge!

Suze
Yes, and a first for me too.  The actual card is simple enough to make but it was decorating all the individual sections that I found more challenging.  Anyway, I ended up using mostly Stampin' Up products as they co-ordinate nicely. The main image is from Fresh Vintage and I used the colour scheme of Raspberry Ripple and Lucky Limeade.

Jackie

Whatever did we do before Google?  I didn't know how to make the card either - and then the first one I did was in all the wrong colours and didn't feature a stamp!!!  But I got there in the end... My main image is a Jayne Nestorenko stamp, coloured with pencils.

Feebsy
I sense a theme here. I'd seen these types of cards but never tried one before and I really enjoyed the challenge. I used a set of Lindsay Mason stamps. They're coloured with Promarkers, I added glitter to the centre of the flowers and cut them out and decoupaged them.

As you can see the team were challenged by this type of card, so now it's over to you to see how many of you want to join in the fun.

Please NOTE you have only ONE week to enter this challenge and not the normal two as I made a mistake on the calendar when setting the challenges for the year. So you need to get your skates on!
