Before we get down to the challenge I have to sadly report that three of our team have left us due to personal commitments.
We are sorry to say goodbye to
Marie
Eva
Georgina
and we wish them well in the future and would like to thank them for their fabulous contributions to the team.
However we are delighted to welcome
Elaine
Viv
to the team
I am sorry to nag again but a reminder is necessary I fear to also follow our general rules for our challenges which are over there >>>>>>>> at the top of our right hand sidebar.
Because sadly we are still getting people who do not follow the rules and it is unfair on those of our entrants who do I shall be deleting those that do not follow the general or particular challenge rules.
ALSO from now on if any prize is not claimed by the Sunday before the next challenge goes live it will be forfeit. Because we are not a prize draw blog and because our Hostess works hard choosing the winner/winners we don't have the time to go back and do it all again, so any prize unclaimed by the end of the challenge after which it was announced will be lost. So you will have just under two weeks from when I make the winners post on the Monday to claim it.
Our challenge to you today is to create a card for a belated birthday, and is hosted by our lovely Kim. She had this to say about her challenge:-
As I am always notoriously late with sending my cards it seems appropriate for me to choose a Belated Birthday challenge. Any image, Stamped or Digi, will do but your card MUST include a sentiment indicating that the card is for a belated Birthday, for example - Sorry I missed it, Have a very Happy Unbirthday, Better late than never, Your birthday came, your birthday went, here's the card I should have sent!!
So see what you can come up with to amuse us, or just a straightforward belated birthday wishes will do, but remember it does need a sentiment as outlined above to qualify.
Over to our challenge

Here is what the team have come up with
KIMx
I made this Belated Birthday card using a lovely stamp set that I bought from our new sponsors SirStampalot.
KYLIE
My hare looks very sorry that he missed a birthday! I have paper pieced this gorgeous fella and the sentiment is from my Birthday Banter set.
Rebecca
I used a MFT stamp set and matching die to make my type writer themed belated birthday card- fingers crossed I won't need to use it this year!
Sharon
I used an embossing folder and distress inks to make a pocket card to hold a gift card.
I used some dollar stamps from my stash (sorry, don't know the company), a sentiment by Stampin' Up!, and a masculine color scheme. I usually forget men's birthdays...oops!
Fiona
For my card I have used this beautiful digi stamp called "Tiffany Fairy" from our fab sponsors Milk Coffee. I have cut out and layered up her wings for a 3D effect. My paper is from We R Memory Keepers- Love Struck stack.
Marie (Mi)
A little collection of bee-lated birthday cards. The same image from Pink Pretticoat paired up with different designer papers from Bearly Mine design. As this kind of card gets used a little too often over at my place, I thought it was best to make a little bunch of them.
Yvonne
Used a new stamp, some old embossing folders and my favourite distress inks for this card.
Josephine
I've used an image from our sponsor - Milk Coffee - and I added the sentiment in Photoshop Elements before printing. I coloured with Promarkers, then finished with some Kate Knight paper and some Spellbinders die cuts.
Suze
I've made a clean and simple sewing themed card. Stamps, ink and card are all Stampin' Up. Embossing folder is Tim Holtz. I've tried to emulate the look of washi tape with the embossed strips and sentiment.
Carole
I decided to make the sentiment the focal image of the card and went with a simple colour scheme. I have to admit that I struggled with this - and am not completely happy with the results - but I was determined to have a go!!
Jackie
I used one of the digistamps from our sponsors for my card, but I am not totally happy with the colours as shown in the photograph - they are more subtle in real life! I have used a couture creations embossing folder for the backing paper, and paper flowers made as a combo of bought ones from my stash, and tonic petal pair punches.
Tracey
I made my card using 'Charolette Reads a Book' from Milk Coffee Stamps. After colouring her with pencil crayons, I inked the edges. My sentiment is from CTMH and my bow was made with 3 different coloured pieces of ribbon.
I used a preshaped card blank and ran it through my HappyCut with an embossing folder. I then went over it with my lovely new Panpastels, in various citrus shades. The flowers were plain white and I coloured them with the PPs and the sentiment I made on my pc.
And finally from one of our new girls
I used My Mind’s Eye ‘Mabel’ papers, digi image coloured with promarkers, Nesties for frames and a charm from my stash
