#242 Add A Critter

Judy is hosting today's challenge, Add a Critter.

Any critter will be fine, four legged, two legged, six legged, or even many legged as in millipedes!

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it meets the theme.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Judy
I have used a digital stamp from Leigh S-B Designs for my card. The image is called Cleo the Egyptian Cat. I used copics and pencil crayon to colour the card and a texture stamp on my background paper.

Josephine
I've got a llama wearing a Christmas jumper! The stamps are from Creative Stamping magazine, and the image is coloured with Promarkers.

Angela

Several Tim Holtz dog dies were used and his pocket watch die too. The clock stamp is by Sam Poole (Creative Expressions) and the sentiment by Lisa Horton (Creative Expressions). The inks used are Distress Oxides. Happy creating, Angela xXx

Glenda

A cow, a butterfly, and a multi-layered background! See blog for all the details!

Mary

I have used a couple of Tattered Lace dies and the accompanying charisma downloads to make this card.

Margaret

I decided to create a couple of floating pockets to go into a Nature inspired Junk Journal I am currently making. The idea came from a video by Ephemera's Vintage Garden and I have used some of their Digi printables as well as a freebie by Nik the Booksmith. My 'critters' were gifted to me by a dear friend so I don't know where they came from. All the details are on my blog. Have a great day and enjoy your crafting!! xx

Agnieszka chanya13

I made a card with a teddy from Sizzix Animal Portraits die.

Kimx

My 'critters' are from a lovely set designed by my good friend Jane Gill for Woodware.

Lin

I have used two of the latest Art By Marlene stamps from Studiolight and one from Katzelkraft to make my journal page.... details on my blog

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

#241 Autumn Colours

Marg is hosting today's challenge, Autumn Colours

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it meets the theme.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Marg

I have created an Art Journal page. The base paper is by Tim Holtz and I have used Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals to add the colour. Added stamping, a bit of fibre ribbon and lots of layered ephemera to complete the page. Looking forward to seeing your creations! Have fun!!

Josephine

A very CAS card: A Woodware stamp set, stamped using a Kaleidoscope ink pad in Autumn shades, and coloured using Promarkers in similar colours.

Angela

I've made a Floating Diecut Panel card here. Lots of bits of left-over Masterboard but perfect colours for this theme. The dies were by Tim Holtz and I finished it with some Peel-Off Stickers from my stash. Detail of how to make a Floating Card are on my Blog X

Glenda

Autumn colours remind me of the reds and yellows of the leaves and the September birthdays of husband and brother. We have large forests in Alberta and the moose seems to reign supreme so I just had to use this image on a card for my brothers September birthday

Marlene

I have used an All Dressed Up image called Three Little Autumn Girls coloured them with Promarkers. Photoplay papers and Flowers. I like Autumn because of all the beautiful colours.

Judy

I just love autumn and the beautiful coloured leaves so I decided to take out my Pentart Alcohol Inks to make my card. I played with the inks until I found an pattern in the inks that I was pleased with. The leaves and sentiment are die cuts out of Tim Holtz's metallic copper paper.

Kimx

I love the Autumn. I love all the beautiful colours. It probably helps that my Birthday is in the Autumn, but I don't think that is the only reason.

I have chosen a beautiful old Stamps Happen stamp and a mop up background for my card.

Maike

I used a stencil by Altenew to create a background in autumnal colours and added this cute fox by Kulricke to it. Have fun crafting ;o)

Mary

This card uses various dies from Tattered Lace.

Jo

Lots of lovely distressed layers using magazine freebies - papers, image and die cuts....Tim Holtz stickers & gems from stash.

Lin

My lovely die cut leaf is from Craftwork Cards, originally Kraft, and I coloured it with Distress Oxides, and added some Pentart metallic wax to it.. more details on my blog.

#240 Pearls and/or Gems

Dr. Monika is hosting today's challenge, Pearls and/orGems

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it meets the theme.

Dr. Monika

Here is a romantic card with lovely colours and gorgeous handmade flowers from Little Birdie Crafts. For the background, I have used Lindy's Stamp Gang's magical shakers. I have used flatback pearls from my stash and cute sentiment from Tim Holtz.

Josephine

Some paper embroidery from me, with sticky gems completing the flowers.

Glenda

A romance card using die cuts, a craft flower with a large pearl center and 3 pearls attached to two corners of the card.

Judy

I created this card for a niece's birthday card using a digital image by Norma J. Burnell. I just love her images, so pretty. Once I had coloured my image with copics I added some Prima flowers and pearls to complete the card.

Angela

Made this card using layering stamps by Altenew. The background was Oxide inks and finished with a Bokeh effect. The sentiment stamp was from the same set as the Jelly Fish and I stamped the smallest ones onto the card blank, finishing the design with coloured pearls.

Marlene

I have used a cute stamp from Whimsy Stamps lots of flowers. Coloured with Promarkers

Mary

I matted cardstock from Hunkydory's Midnight Dots to Diamonds papercraft pad onto white card and added pearls to it. The hammerheads were cut using dies and paper from Sweet Design's Water World set. The stamp for the sentiment was from the same collection.

Margaret

This card was created for a dear friend of mine. She loves purples and lilacs so I felt this paper was perfect for her. I have decorated the card with heat embossing, a strip of dp down the center and a diecut and flower. A number of tiny pearls and gems were added to add some bling and pizzaz!!

Have fun with your crafting!!

Jackie

I know, I know.... but you have to start sometime! This is my first Christmas card of the year and I used distress inks to blend the background, a simple stamp and some gems and pearls for baubles.

Maike

I love this cute mermaid by C.C.Designs holding a pearl in her hand and thought she would be perfect for this challenge! The background was made using distress inks and a stencil by My Favorite Things. Happy crafting, Maike

Lin
My card was made with one of Leonie Pujol's gorgeous circus stamps, which I stamped with versafine and embossed with clear powder and then coloured in partially with three different Zig Clean Color brush pens. My gems are in the centre of the main image and around the base of the easel card. More information on my blog

It wasn't hard to find a card for this challenge, as adding a few gems to a card has become one of my favourite things to do.

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!
