#255 Anything But A Card

Times are very strange right now and anything we can do to distract ourselves from the horror of the situation is a good thing. So get your thinking caps on and your creative juices flowing and see what you can come up with.

Angela is hosting today's challenge, Anything But a Card.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, scrap layout, mixed media piece or home decor, as long as it meets the theme, and is not a card!

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Angela

I made this using an old tube box that originally held a Reed Diffuser. Moulded ammonites and moths, lots of paint and wax and the details are available on my blog. Look forward to seeing what you all come up with. Angela xXx

Josephine

I made an exploding box for my sister using photographs of our parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and very much younger selves. The very inside will eventually contain a gift box.

Judy

I made this diorama using a box I found at a Dollar Store along with a pad of designer called Sail Away by First Edition Paper, clay molds using a Stamperia mold, sailing rubber stamps by Stampers Anonymous, and odds and sods from my stash.

Glenda

I made a waterfall album for a friend. Please see my blog for further information.

Jackie

I made a memorial picture using my scan n cut for a friend who had lost her much loved dog.

Mary

I have tried something new and made a cake decoration using sugar paste.

Margaret

This is an Art Journal page I created last year, using Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals, some stamping with Archival Ink and layers of textiles. ephemera and die cuts.

#254 Easter

I seems odd to be thinking of celebrating Easter when half the world is in lockdown, and thousands of people are dying. But life, even a watered down version such as self isolated life, does go on. So for this coming weekend we at Crafty Cardmakers wish you all a very Happy  and Healthy Easter. Stay indoors folks and stay safe.
Marlene is hosting today's challenge, Easter.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece or home decor, as long as it meets the theme.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Marlene
I have made an Easter Basket using 6x6 papers, various dies and some chocolate eggs

Judy

I made this Easter card for one of my grandchildren using an Easter Bunny cutting die scene, Copics, and some Wink of Stella. I cut the die twice, once in brown and once in white. and added the areas to the first cut that I wanted coloured. I love the background paper that I found in my stash called Tie Dyed by DCWD.

Josephine

I used stamps from Creative, Card-io, and some from Rubber Stamp Tapestry with Memento ink and some masking to create this Easter card.

Glenda

I created an Easter card for a child using an Easter Stamp from Beccy's Place. Please see my blog for more details!

Mary

Using Hunkydory's Little Book of Spring Days and Country Life I decoupaged the design using several pages of the same image. The border is made from off cuts from other projects.

Angela

This is a Tuxedo Pop-up card with Tim Holtz die cut bunnies and flowers inside. If you like this I have a tutorial for making it on my blog.

Jo

A traditional Easter cad using a Hunkydory sheet.More info on my blog,

Maike

I do love pastel colours for Easter cards and this cute bunny by Gerda Steiner Designs was just the perfect image for the layout I had in mind. Happy crafting, everyone and take care ;o)

Kimx

I don't usually do Easter cards, and I'm the mean Mamma that gives the Grandchildren books not eggs, but this year is so very different that I thought the least I could do is send out some cards.

Jackie

I don't usually give Easter cards, because I see people, but this year I will be socially distancing from family members, so I will send cards instead. I am still stash busting - and this card was made using a kit from my stash.

Dr. Monika
Hello everyone, Today I have cute little decorated eggs to share with you. To make these little Easter gifts, I have used 'Confetti' paper pad from KAISERCRAFT along with gorgeous flowers from Little Birdie Crafts. At the end, I have added sentiments by using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology stickers. Hope all of you safe and healthy at home. Stay strong and positive my lovely friends. Lots of love..

Lin
I have used a combination of Tim Holtz and Memory Box dies and an AAll and Create stencil to create my Easter card. See my blog for details

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!
