#91 Pick Three Different Techniques READ POST FOR DETAILS

Welcome to our latest challenge, hosted by Sharon, who has chosen the theme 'Pick Three Different Techniques'

Sharon has  taken inspiration from her youngest daughter's recent 3rd birthday and therefore would like to see 3 different techniques on your card or project. Take your pick of 3 from the following list and be sure to state which 3 you've used:
  • Embossing (wet or dry)
  • Distressing
  • Masking
  • Making your own flowers
  • Paper piecing/patchwork
  • Shrink plastic

Please ensure your creation has three techniques from the list and that you tell us which three you have used to qualify for a winner or Top 5 slot.

PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE RULES BEFORE ADDING YOUR CREATION AND CHECK IT MEETS THE CRITERIA AS LAID OUT ABOVE - ANY ENTRY NOT COMPLYING WILL UNFORTUNATELY BE REMOVED

Here is how the team interpreted the challenge:-

Sharon
I've used a very cute image from Wee Stamps. My 3 techniques are Distressing (inked edges and the scuffed edges on the background), Masking (I've used a mask and distress stains to create the background paper) and Shrink Plastic (the Happy Birthday sentiment is a Marianne die cut in shrink plastic...and shrunk!)

 Viv

I used the lovely 'Michelle in Hot Air Balloon' from our sponsors. My 3 techniques are - Paper Piecing - (the balloon), embossing folder  for the background (from the Oriental set), Shrink Plastic - the two flowers on the trellis. And for good measure threw in a wee bit of 'distressing'!

Mynnette
I chose dry embossing, distressing, and make your own flowers.

Betty
I chose dry embossing, make your own flower and paper piecing to create this wedding card

Josephine
I've used a sponsor (Milk Coffee) image, and my three techniques are embossing (dry and heat), I've used a mask to create the background, and I made my own flowers.

Fiona
The three techniques that I have used are paper piecing, make your own flowers and dry embossing. I have paper pieced her clothes, used a Cheery Lin die to make the flowers and a Cuttlebug "Dotted Swiss" embossing folder on the border...then added stickles to the embossed dots.

Yvonne
The three techniques that I used for this card were  masking, dry embossing and distressing.

Lin
I have used embossing (Dry) behind the mainly white layer, distressing, all the edges and adding frantage (similar to that being offered by Sir Stampalot as one of our prizes this month) and shrink plastic (the Happy Birthday) whose idea I pinched from Sharon above! Sorry Sharon.

Doreen
The three techniques I used were masking (the hearts), dry embossing and distressing.

Marie
We're having a baby boom in the family at the moment so why not making a baby card with a few different techniques. For this creation have I used both wet and dry embossing (the mid panel has some heart embossed to them in the dry technique and the butterfly (the big one) is wet embossed in white. All the edges is distressed with walnut stain and I have also made some little hearts in shrink plastic. Oh boy, it was a long time since I used that. LoL My image is from BildmÄlarna, Sweden and coloured with distress inks. I did also make some flowers with some dies from Magnolia Sweden.

The three techniques I used were dry embossing, distressing and make your own flowers.  The backing paper is vellum and I have embossed it using a my grand calibur and a A4 folder.  I distressed the vellum by tearing it round the edge and using distress ink.  The die cut and flowers were all cut using Marianne design dies and embossed.  The centers of the flowers are just flat backed pearls.

For my card I have used crafters companion stamps and on of their new embossing folders.  My three techniques are dry embossing (base layer), distressing (around edge of stamped card) and shrink plastic (see the little lavendar sprigs tied in a bow...).

For my card I have dry embossed small dots into the corners of my card, distressed the edges with sandpaper and I masked the LOTV bear before stamping the bunting.

The three techniques I have used on my card are, dry embossing for the tree, masking for the background and I made my own flowers.  The image is Milk Coffee 'Soya takes a nap'.

On my card I have used wet (heat) embossing, made my own own flowers and used shrink plastic ('love' tag).

For my card I have used a combination of stamps available from our sponsor Sir Stampalot.  My three techniques are dry embossing (pink panel), masking (the main panel on the card) and make your own flowers.

For my project, I used a wooden heart as my base. My three techniques are make your own flowers, distressing - using Kroma crackle paste, and ultra thick embossing - using UTEE and my melt pot to create the embellishments and to glaze the flowers.

For my card, the 3 techniques I chose are Distressing (with edge distresser and ink), Making my own flowers (Boho Blossoms punch from Stampin' Up) and Masking for the very first time (Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Regal Glimmer Screens). I have also used an image from our sponsor, Milk Coffee called "Lisbeth at the Tree"
