#121 A World of Fantasy, New Blog Announcement and Design Team Call

Before I get to today's challenge, I would like to announce that we will shortly be opening a brand new mixed media/altered art style of challenge blog. We will be launching on September 5th and hope to see you there at The Mirror Crack'd.

Also we are running a Design Team call for this blog, not the new one, and if you think you might be interested in joining us, can you add DT at the end of your name in your entry in the linky below.

I'm hosting our challenge today, and I have chosen 'A world of Fantasy' as my theme. I would like to see a fairy, dragon, unicorn, goblin etc, as the MAIN focus of your creation

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

My dragons are from Chocolate Baroque, coloured with Luminarte Silks. I also made a pair from Shrink Plastic coloured also with Silks!

I've used a Sweet Pea rubber stamp with a Ching Chou Kuik image which I've coloured with a mix of Promarker and Spectrum Noir pencils. The background is one I made using a variety of stamps, inks, and heat embossing, and I finished with flowers made using dies from a range of manufacturers.

Fairy Alyce by The Stamping Chef, coloured with Copics

Jackie
My card uses a combination of serif background and digi images and Sheena Douglass stamps, coloured with pro markers.
