#121 A World of Fantasy, New Blog Announcement and Design Team Call

Before I get to today's challenge, I would like to announce that we will shortly be opening a brand new mixed media/altered art style of challenge blog. We will be launching on September 5th and hope to see you there at The Mirror Crack'd.

Also we are running a Design Team call for this blog, not the new one, and if you think you might be interested in joining us, can you add DT at the end of your name in your entry in the linky below.

I'm hosting our challenge today, and I have chosen 'A world of Fantasy' as my theme. I would like to see a fairy, dragon, unicorn, goblin etc, as the MAIN focus of your creation

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

I've used a Sweet Pea rubber stamp with a Ching Chou Kuik image which I've coloured with a mix of Promarker and Spectrum Noir pencils. The background is one I made using a variety of stamps, inks, and heat embossing, and I finished with flowers made using dies from a range of manufacturers.

Fairy Alyce by The Stamping Chef, coloured with Copics

Jackie
My card uses a combination of serif background and digi images and Sheena Douglass stamps, coloured with pro markers.

We would like to thank our teamies, Fiona and Feebs, who have left for all their hard work and wish them lots of luck in the future.

I used an image from our sponsor, Stamping Boutique, called Audrey at the Well. I used it to make a Joy Fold card - my first attempt at one of those! I coloured the image with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pencils, and added a sentiment made in Photoshop Elements.
My card is a cross between a gatefold and a tri-fold - with a few extra folds at the front. The image from our sponsors is called Cupcake - coloured with Spectrum Noirs.

Suze
I made a fancy folded fabric ornament. (instructions on my blog)

Any entry that does not meet the challenge requirement or that does not follow our simple rules will not be published. If you are having issues with any other linking matter please mail me at the address in the side bar
