#264 Shabby Chic

Angela is hosting today's challenge, Shabby Chic.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece or home decor, as long as it meets the theme.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Angela
I love Shabby Chic designs and I've made this card using printed papers and dies by Crafter's Companion finished with black die cut flowers by Tim Holtz, Stickles glitter glue, splashed paint, enamel dots and a dragonfly. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with xXx

Josephine
I made some visitors' face masks for donating to a hospital where I volunteer, and started with plain ivory cotton which I stamped and tinted with a mixture of Versacraft and Versafine Clair inks (which both survive washing to some extent!)

My Shabby Chic card was created using design papers, stamps, lace, ribbon, die cut leaves, flowers, prills and a sweet butterfly cabochon.  See the details on my blog.  Happy crafting!! x

Mary
The flowers for the bouquet were cut using dies from Carnation Crafts and the accompanying vignettes. However the magenta ink on my printer was misbehaving so I have only yellow, pale blue and off white flowers. They are tied together with a yellow ribbon and the stems tucked into the frame.

Judy
I made this cards fusing  rubber stamps from my stash.  Bella is an unmounted stamp which I think was from a collection of stamps I bought years ago and I think the company was from Vancouver and is out of business now.  I tore the edges to give the card pieces and inked to give the card an aged look,  The ribbon was tea dyed.

I created the card using papers from the paper pack titled 'Old Lace'  by Stamperia.. Not being a shabby chic expert I winged it. The flowers are from a pack I bought at a local craft shop and the pearls are left overs in  my stash. The flowery circles are from die cuts and the flowery circle was finished off with a button from my stash.

Marlene

For my Card I have used a Dutch Doobahdoo stencil, a vintage topper and Maya Papers,Rolled Roses, and Pearls.

For my card I used a bunch of shabby looking papers and added two critters in a vintage style as well.

I have made a page in my journal using a background I made quite a while ago and some Clever Prints stamps and chipboard embellishments. Please see my blog for details

Hello creative souls, I made this tiny shabby chic DIY flower vase using air drying clay. I have used MUDRA's decor stones (Medium, Mini and Micro) to embellish this tiny piece. I have used Prima - Finnabair's acrylic paints (Metallique Vintage Rose and Opal Magic Blue- Gold) and Brushed Iron wax to highlight the details. I invite you all to visit my channel for a step by step video tutorial. I hope you will love it..

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

#263 Use a Recycled Element

Judy is hosting today's challenge, Use a Recycled Element.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece or home decor, as long as it meets the theme. The whole project can be recycled or it might just have one recycled element on it. If it's not obvious please tell us what you have recycled.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

I created for this recycle challenge a notebook for a friend. The core of my notebook was made from  a cereal box  found in  my recycling bin. The front of my book I used a Lavina stamp along with other stamps from my stash.

Josephine
I spent a lot of time this spring making various face coverings for family and the hospital where I normally volunteer. Most have been the pleated type, but I tried out a shaped one, using a piece of an old nightie! Details of the pattern I used will be on my blog.

I created a masculine card using a couple of washers I found in the garage. I thought they might work well on a masculine card. I then placed a paper die cut between them. Further details on my blog.

Mary

These are some face masks I made for my daughter using her old clothes.

Angela

A tall card today using some old packaging to make the banner section and the coloured card is left-over Masterboard from an earlier project. Details can be found on my blog. Happy crafting, Angela xXx

Kimx
I used a page from an old book for the background to my card.
More info can be found over on my blog

My project for this Challenge is a Mini Album Cover made from old box packaging.  All the details can be seen on my blog.  Hope you have fun with this Challenge!  x
