#224 Christmas

This is our last challenge for 2018 so that the team can have a well deserved break. We will be back on 14th January, and so we would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2019. Thank you for sharing all your fabulous projects with us and we look forward to seeing many more in the New Year.

Mary is hosting today's challenge, Christmas

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it meets the Winter Fun theme.
We do, for a change, have a lovely prize on offer to our winner. It's two gorgeous Becky Seddon photopolymer stamps on a Christmas/Winter theme, with two stencils in the same theme.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Mary

I have used a House Mouse decoupage sheet from Joanna Sheen. After attaching it to red rad I outlined the image using strios of gold peel off and then added more gold peel off items to the left hand side of the card.

Josephine

I've used a Woodware stamp set, and coloured the tree with Promarkers. The frame uses a die set from Cheery Lynn, and I embossed a panel of the card blank using a folder which was a magazine freebie. I've gently inked the panel with yellow Versacolor ink.

Judy

I made this card for one of my grandson's for Christmas. I thought he would love this crazy snowman. I coloured him with copics and pencil crayons then added snow, snowflakes, a sentiment, Nuvo crystal drops, and Wink of Stella.

Angela

I made this card with one of my Masterboards which was created using a Paper Artsy stencil and Distress Oxides then added a snowflake die cut topper, sentiment and completed it with a few drops of Stickles Glitter glue. Hope you all have a really lovely Christmas and a very Happy New Year xXx

Jackie

I get all carded out at Christmas - so a quick and easy card is a bonus! My CAS card was made using an embossing folder and one of the new Hunkydory topper deck cards and rainbow mirri card.

Margaret

I used three layers of paper on my card. A couple were cut to size and the top one was simply torn. A piece of lace was added in between two of the layers. The cluster consists of a piece of gauze, Die cut branches, Berries, two tiny Pine Cones and the flower.

Hoping you all have a wonderful Christmas and wishing everyone all the very best for 2019.

Maike

I used one the super cute "Polar Pals" by Sunny Studios and the wonderful
cover plate die by Your Next Stamp. Happy crafting, everyone ;o)

Glenda

A card for a little grand nephew, for all the details, see my blog.

Lin

My card is a combination of Sue Wilson dies, lots of glitter and foiling. Please see my blog for more details.

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

#223 Anything But a Card

Angela is hosting today's challenge, Anything But a Card

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, except a card!!! So a scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, will be fine as long as it is not a card.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Angela
Hi all. I'm your host for this challenge and really looking forward to seeing what you come up with. This little journal was made using the Eileen Hull Wrap around Journal die, Dylusion stamps and stencils and finished with gilding wax and Dew Drops.

Josephine

I've decorated a Hobbycraft basic tote bag using various stamps and Versacraft ink. I used the same ink for colouring. I finished the bag with a couple of hand-crocheted borders using a pattern I got from Exquisite Trims in Thread Crochet by Caitlin Sainio.

Jackie

I made a clock on my scan n cut, using a cutting file from Dreaming Tree. The clock workings and hands came from Amazon. The flower centres were coloured using distress inks.

Judy

For my Anything but a Card project I made an altered bottle. I painted gesso and chalk paint on the bottle then used distressed ink to do some highlighting. I also used some gold string and lace to give the bottle some interest. The image I used for the bottle is a free vintage from Graphic Fairy.

Mary

My eldest grandson has just turned eighteen and as I cannot afford to give him a car I decided to make this model for him using a die from 3Diemensions.

Margaret

I created a small Masterboard with a mix of Distress Inks, gesso, stencils and stamps. Cut a piece of it into a tag shape and embellished it with a diecut, a piece of pretty lace, a flower cluster and a butterfly. Added a little quote and it was done!! Happy crafting!!

Marlene

To make this tag I used a lot of Distress Inks Butterfly Stamps and embossing powder, and added some Ribbon

Glenda

Notepad Holder made with cardstock, designer paper, a few dies and some magnets.

Lin

I made two sleighs for Christmas decorations. Details on my blog

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

#222 Lots of Layers

Judy is hosting today's challenge, Lots of Layers

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it meets the Lots of Layers theme.

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Judy

I made this card for my oldest grandson's birthday.  I wanted to make a card with lots of colour and layers.

Josephine
I've used a variety of stencils, stamps and distress inks to make the patterned layers, and a die set from Susan's Garden Notes for the centrepiece of this card.

Mary

I have used a Craft Creations 3D decoupage sheet and then matted the decoupaged image onto yellow card. After wrapping a ribbon round this I then matted and layered it onto green and then red card creating seven layers in all.

Margaret

This is a card I created for a friend's Birthday a little while ago but I felt it was eminently suitable for this Challenge. A very simple masculine card with plenty of layers and a little bit of machine stitching. Happy crafting everyone!

Angela

Hope it's not too soon for a Christmas card but I'm sure you will all be busy making them so here is an idea for you using layers of Christmas trees and there is a tutorial for making on my blog: Happy crafting, Angela xXx

Maike

I wanted to get the look of a lot of dimension, so I created this window sill scene using the cactus stamps by Jane's Doodles and this cute lady bug by Purple Onion Designs.

Marlene

I have used a Polkadoodles Stamp coloured with Promarkers used LDRS Die, Lace and Ribbon Roses with Pearls Die-Cut Flowers

Glenda
I used a clear stamp for the image, a fancy Spellbinders die for the border, and a Sizzix Thinlets die for the two bows. The butterflies are from a punch.

Jackie

As it is getting even closer to Christmas, I decided to make a multi layered Christmas card, using some paper from my stash and a Hunkydory Topper deck card.

Hello everyone, I made two gorgeous "Thank You" tags as DT inspiration. I have used Lindy's Stamp Gang magical shakers to create these colourful backgrounds and layered up so many fussy cut elements in cluster to make these beautiful gift tags. All the stamp sets used from Mudra Craft Stamps, I have also used some Tim Holtz distress inks for stamping. Hope you will love my creation. So much love.. xoxoxo.

Lin
My Lots of Layers card was for my SIL from my Daughter. It involves lots of different dies, a Kanban stamp and some Prima Paper.. Please see my blog for details

Jo
For my Lots of Layers card I used......lots of layers, die cuts, a beautiful image and finished with a large, layered snowflake.

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!
