Challenge 85 Blooming Images

Welcome to our latest challenge, hosted by Marie (MI), who has chosen the theme 'Blooming Images'.

Marie said 'I do love my flowers and this time I would like flower images to be the main focus of the card. No people, no landscapes. Just flower images. A single rose, a poinsettia, a daisy... you get it. Can be flowers in a vase or just the flowers. Of course you can still decorate with flowers, butterflies or what you feel like, but the image is a flower of some kind, NOT a tree and NOT a person holding a flower'

Please ensure your card has only a flower/flowers as the main focus in order to qualify for the winner or Top 5 slot.

PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE RULES BEFORE ADDING YOUR CREATION AND CHECK IT MEETS THE CRITERIA AS LAID OUT ABOVE - ANY ENTRY NOT COMPLYING WILL UNFORTUNATELY BE REMOVED

We are sponsored by

CRAFTS AND ME

with the choice of 3 digital stamps from their extensive range

and we also have on offer this fabulous die set, which has been very generously provided by a mystery donor!
Use these 26 clip and phrase dies to create tags & cards, party & wedding details, scrapbook pages, school projects, journals, home decor and more!

Here is how the team interpreted the challenge

 Marie (MI)

This card is all made up with one of the new Tilda pads from Panduro, called "Country Escape". As there is always three pages of every design in their pads, I decided to go for some layering of my die cut image. That puts some height to it and it looks a little more "worked". :)

Mynnette
I've used a floral image from Stampin' Up! and sentiment by Tim Holtz to create a one layer card.

Josephine
I've used a Floppy Latte (via Stitchy Bear) image and coloured with Promarkers (and Flexmarkers). (I love colouring that image!) I've matted using some Spellbinders die cuts and the paper is from Paper Cellar. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Hobbycraft.

Betty CH
I've used a floral image from Hero Art and Spellbinders die cuts to create this card

Doreen

I used for my card "Elements of Style" by Stampin’ Up

 Yvonne

I have used a flower shaped card blank , random stamped with leaves and flowers then topped with a selection of flowers to make a large bloom.

Fiona
I have used a digi stamp from Karen's Doodles which I have coloured with my Promarkers. My papers are from the Lucy Cromwell Designstax.

Rebecca
For my card I have gone ultra CAS to allow the flowers to really stand out. I have stamped some sweet, little flower stems from a Wplus9 set and added some tiny pink flower gems. The sentiment is from the same set too.

Julie
I have used a digi stamp of some Lilies (my favourite flower) by Oak Pond Creations and coloured with Promarkers.

Lin

I have used a background paper from our of our regular Sponsors (the Paper Shelter) and the image, which I have coloured with copics and some DI's is from Sweet N Sassy.

Sharon

I have used the lovely Hydrangea clear stamp from Inkylicious and Brilliance ink pads to stamp the image. The background paper is from the new Papermania Vintage Notes set.

I have used Flower clear stamp from Papermania .Coloured with copic marker.
And different Die Cuts ... Memory Box, Joy Craft, Nellie Snellen & Magnolia.
Background paper is from K&Company.

Sometimes you have to make a card quickly and don't have time to colour your topper or make an ornate card and on these occasions it is very useful to have craft cds to fall back on! I used an image from a Joanna Sheen cd for my CAS sympathy card.

Kimx
I have used a lovely floral stamp set from Woodware, a little bit of masking, some Distress inks and background papers for my card.

Suze
I used a Hero Arts poppy stamp which I inked up with 2 blue and 2 green inks. I then mounted it behind a diecut frame and added a sentiment.

Carole
I have used one of my favourite Paint Fusion sets to stamp the daisies onto mountboard. I then painted them with Eco Green acrylic paints.

Tracey
I have used some paper and a tag from HOTP, as well as some nice lace and pastel coloured ribbon. I kept the flower theme going by using a border punch from EK Success called 'Pointed Flower'
